The Western Divisional representatives to the 2008 Junior World Championship and the CastingKids Championship were decided today.
In the Junior Bassmasters competition held on Coeur d’Alene Lake, Washington’s Joey Nania earned the top honors in the 15- to 18-year-old division with one of only two five-fish limits to be brought to the scales in the event. Nania’s fish tipped the scales at 9 pounds, 2 ounces.
ATTENTION: WEBSITE INSTRUCTIONS TO OBTAIN LOG-IN ACCESS
The following instructions are intended to assist in “streamlining” the procedure necessary for K.B.C.F.N. members to obtain “log-in” access to our new website.
The following criteria is required and must be verified prior to providing member access:
1) Current B.A.S.S. membership.
2) Current membership with a B.A.S.S. sanctioned Kansas Club.
3) Current membership with the Kansas B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation Nation (K.B.C.F.N.).
4) Current membership with the B.A.S.S. Federation Nation (B.F.N.).
All four (4) of the above named membership criteria’s are required for access to log-in and post on the K.B.C.F.N. website. If any one or more of these four (4) criteria’s expire, access will be denied until current membership is re-established. You as an individual, requesting access, can expedite this process by making sure that you and your Club are current with all four (4) membership requirements, prior to making your request.
The following information is required when making application for log-in access:
1) Name:
2) Address:
3) Telephone/Cell Phone numbers:
4) E-mail address (if you have one):
5) Name of Bass Club (that you belong to):
6) B.A.S.S. membership number:
These six (6) catagories of information needs to be sent to me (Don Leatherman) either by e-mail or by the U.S. Postal Service.
The K.B.C.F.N. Webmaster is currently overrun with requests as we are still trying to get the basic foundation of the new website in operation. So with that in mind, I will assume the duties of membership verification until the big “surge” of requests has been accommodated.
Please be patient as we work through the infant stages of our new website.
Thank You.
Send your request for access, with the required information listed above, to the following contact person:

The purpose of the Kansas B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation is to stimulate public awareness of bass fishing as a major sport. To offer our State Conservation Department our moral and political support and encouragement. To promote full adherence to all conservation codes, to demand adequate water quality standards and legal enforcement of existing regulatory standards. To detect and report any polluter and to call public and political attention to this crime. To improve our skills as bass anglers through a fellowship of friendly exchange of bass catching techniques and ideas, to promote and encourage youth fishing and love for this great recreation. To promote sportsmanship, courtesy and boating safety at all levels..
